Install the Humanizer skill

One command in your terminal. It detects the coding agents on your machine (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, Copilot and others) and installs the skill for them.

npx skills add https://github.com/blader/humanizer --skill humanizer

Run it inside your project folder, or add -g to install for all projects. Needs Node.js. Start a new agent session afterwards so it loads the skill.

Other ways to install

Claude Code plugin

Type these at the claude prompt, not in claude.ai:

/plugin marketplace add blader/humanizer
/plugin install humanizer@humanizer

The second command opens a panel where you choose the install scope. The plugin is called with /humanizer:humanizer.

Claude.ai and Claude desktop chat

Download humanizer.zip, turn on code execution in Settings → Capabilities, then go to Customize → Skills, click +, and choose Create skill → Upload a skill. No slash command here; just ask Claude to humanize your text.

Try it without installing

Any chat (claude.ai, ChatGPT, Gemini)

Copy the skill's instructions, paste them into a new chat, then paste your text below them.

Claude Code, Codex and other coding agents

Paste this prompt. The agent loads the skill for one task without installing it:

Run npx skills use "https://github.com/blader/humanizer" --skill "humanizer" and follow the generated skill instructions now.

Not for claude.ai: its sandbox blocks npm, so the command fails with 403 Forbidden.

Use it

/humanizer

[paste your text here]

Use /humanizer:humanizer if you installed the Claude Code plugin. Or just ask: "Humanize this text: ...". In a coding agent you can also say "Humanize the prose in docs/launch-post.md". To match your voice, paste two or three paragraphs of your own writing first.

Common problems

/plugin commands did nothing in claude.ai

They only work in Claude Code. In claude.ai, upload the ZIP above.

npx skills use fails with 403 Forbidden in claude.ai

claude.ai runs code in a sandbox without npm access. Use the Copy SKILL.md button above, or upload the ZIP.

Upload fails with GitHub's "Download ZIP"

GitHub's archive folder is named humanizer-main, which doesn't match the skill name. Use humanizer.zip from this page.

npx: command not found

Install Node.js (LTS) and run the command again.

How do I update or remove it?

npx skills update humanizer or npx skills remove humanizer. Add -g if you installed it globally.
